ITCZ Brings Rain to Southern Philippines

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a weather bulletin at 4:00 PM today, July 9, 2024. The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is currently affecting the southern regions of the country, including Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The ITCZ is a low-pressure zone that forms along the equator. It typically brings heavy rains and thunderstorms to the areas it affects. PAGASA has advised residents in these regions to be prepared for possible flooding and landslides.
