WEB Usha Chilukuri Vance, born on January 6, 1986, is an American lawyer who grew up in a San Diego suburb. Her parents, both Indian immigrants, instilled in her a strong academic ethic. Her mother, Sukanya, is a biologist and provost of the University of California, Riverside.

Legal Career

After graduating from Yale Law School, Vance served as a law clerk for several judges, including Judge Brett Kavanaugh of the U.S. Supreme Court. She then joined the law firm Kirkland & Ellis, where she specialized in corporate law.
